Welcome to Barkside Buddies! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the rules, responsibilities, and agreements between you (“Client,” “you”) and Barkside Buddies (“we,” “us,” “our”) when using our website and services. By booking any service or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Barkside Buddies provides pet care services including, but not limited to, dog walking, pet sitting, overnight stays, house sitting, drop-in visits, and pet taxiing. Services are available by appointment only and subject to availability.

2. Payments & Fees

• All services must be paid in full prior to the start of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Accepted payment methods include Credit/Debit, Cash, Zelle, and Venmo.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled service will incur a 10% cancellation fee.
• Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
• Holiday surcharges may apply for services performed on major holidays.

3. Client Responsibilities

• You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your pets, home, and emergency contacts.
• You must inform Barkside Buddies of any known behavioral issues, medical conditions, or hazards prior to booking.
• Pets must be current on vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses or parasites.

4. Clean & Safe Environment

For the health and safety of both pets and sitters, all homes must meet basic cleanliness and safety standards. Barkside Buddies reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if a home is deemed unsanitary, hazardous, or unsafe upon arrival or during care. Examples include excessive clutter, strong odors, pest infestations, or unsafe conditions that may put sitters or animals at risk.

5. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

In the event of a medical emergency, Barkside Buddies will make every reasonable effort to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will seek veterinary care at your expense. By booking services, you authorize Barkside Buddies to act in your pet’s best interest during an emergency.

6. Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure your pet’s safety, Barkside Buddies is not liable for:

• Illness, injury, loss, or death of pets due to circumstances beyond our control.
• Damage to property caused by pets while in our care.
• Injuries sustained by pets due to pre-existing conditions, negligence by the owner, or acts of nature.

Clients agree to hold Barkside Buddies harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses resulting from the care of their pets.

7. Right to Refuse Service

Barkside Buddies reserves the right to decline or terminate services at any time if a pet exhibits aggressive behavior, if the environment is unsafe, or if client conduct makes continued service unreasonable.

8. Website Content & Intellectual Property

All content, images, and logos on this website are the property of Barkside Buddies and are protected by copyright law. Reproduction or use without written permission is prohibited.

9. Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].

10. Updates to Terms

Barkside Buddies may update these Terms from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
